KPH 2009 Summary

Sorry about the delay, but here is a short summary from the highly successful third installment of “Kongen På Haugen”.

The King is dead – Long live the King!

Oslo showed herself from her best side in terms of weather, spectators and general awesomeness. The brave 51 participants hurled themselves fearlessly through the course and when the dust had settled it was once again proved that in the end there can be only one.

Downhill Worldcup merited Christoffer Sanne from Sweden (currently ranked #13 in the world rankings) destroyed all competition and Christian Wøllo had to surrender the ring at the highly emotional award ceremony that followed the event.

The crowd was awarded with lots of crashes as usual, but no more serious injuries than bruises were reported in the races that were faster and tighter than ever.

We would like to thank all fellow organizers, sponsors, riders and last but not least the fantastic and loud crowd for yet another great event!

Pictures say more than words, so here are some links to photos from the event;
